(b) Duties.

1. (1) They shall perform their duties under the direction of the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training and its committees, and their designee shall serve as secretary to the commission and its committees.
2. (2) They shall be responsible to the commission for conducting the commission’s daily activities, its office facilities, and general administrative tasks.

(c) Authority.

1. (1) They shall have authority over and responsibility for all employees of the Division of Law Enforcement Standards and Training.

2. (2) As the authorized representative of the commission and subject to its ratification, they are empowered to delegate to the Deputy Director of Standards their authority to:

   1. (A) Certify training schools administered by the state, counties, and municipalities located within this state;
   2. (B) Certify training classes or courses within the state;
   3. (C)

(i) Revoke prior certification of a course, school, or an instructor that fails to comply with this part.

1. (ii) This action is subject to ratification by the commission; and

   1. (D) Certify for the commission individual law enforcement officers pursuant to Arkansas Code § 12-9-106(c).
