(a) An employer may not make deductions from the minimum wage and overtime wages required by Arkansas Code §§ 11-4-210 and 14-2-211 except:

1. (1) Those authorized by this part;
2. (2) Deductions authorized or required by law; and

3. (3) Deductions not otherwise prohibited which are:

   1. (A) For the employee’s benefit; and
   2. (B) Authorized by the employee in writing.

(b) An employer may not make deductions from the applicable minimum wage rate for such items, including but not limited to the following:

1. (1) Spoilage or breakage;
2. (2) Cash or inventory shortages or losses; and

3. (3) Fines or penalties for:

   1. (A) Lateness;
   2. (B) Misconduct; or
   3. (C) Quitting by an employee without notice.
