1. (a) In Madison County, notwithstanding any provision of the law to the contrary, the annual compensation payable to the officers and directors of the airport authority shall not exceed the following amounts:

   1. (1) Chair $3,600
   2. (2) Secretary/treasurer $3,300
   3. (3) All other directors $3,000
2. (b) In addition to the amounts prescribed in this section, each director may be reimbursed for expenses actually incurred by him or her in and about the performance of his or her duties when authorized by the board.
