Compensation; Expense Allowances.

(a)
- (1) In Lowndes County, the coroner shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance in the amount of one thousand two hundred dollars ($1,200) per month.
- (2) The compensation provided for by this subsection shall be paid from the county general fund and shall be in addition to any other compensation or expense allowance provided by law.
- (b) In addition to the amounts the coroner receives under subsection (a), the coroner shall be reimbursed in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per year for supplies related to the performance of official duties.
- (c) Beginning with the next term of office for the coroner after June 1, 2022, the expense allowance of the coroner shall be increased by the amount of the same cost-of-living increase that all other Lowndes County officials receive pursuant to Chapter 2A of Title 11.
