The proceeds of the additional revenues generated by the fee for the Fraternal Order of Police tags and plates shall be distributed as follows:

1. (1) Ten dollars ($10) shall be deposited in the State General Fund.
2. (2) The remainder shall be distributed monthly by the Department of Revenue or other appropriate official to the Alabama State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, Inc.
