1. (1) The short-term detention facility develops written guidelines to govern the participation of volunteers which includes at a minimum:

   1. (a) the selection process
   2. (b) duties of volunteers
   3. (c) an orientation and Training program
   4. (d) prior to assignment
   5. (e) rules and regulations
   6. (f) grounds for termination
   7. (g) confidentiality of information
2. (2) A criminal record and Central Registry on Child Abuse and Neglect (DHR) check is to be completed prior to allowing a volunteer to participate in the program.
