1. (1) MEs shall have operation and maintenance (O & M) procedures in place in order to ensure proper operation of wastewater systems. Such procedures shall be designed to ensure reliable sewer service and to minimize system O & M costs while complying with operating permit requirements. These procedures shall require, at a minimum, the pumping of interceptor tanks as needed, treatment facility media replacement as needed, preventive maintenance, and regular system inspections. These procedures shall apply equally to all wastewater system components located on customer premises.
2. (2) MEs shall have provisions in place to adequately respond to unscheduled service calls from their customers.
3. (3) MEs shall keep a record of all interruptions of service to their customers, including a statement of time, duration, and cause of such interruptions.
