In addition to those classes of drivers exempt from securing an Alabama driver license as provided by Code of Ala. 1975, §32-6-2, the following persons shall be exempt from securing an Alabama driver license so long as they hold a valid driver license issued by their home state:

1. (a) A nonresident on active duty in the armed forces of the United States and such nonresident's spouse and dependent children.
2. (b) Any nonresident full time student, properly enrolled and registered in a school, college, university or trade school in this state.
