Ala. Admin. Code r. 536-X-2-.04
An individual who has graduated from a regionally accredited educational institute with a master's or doctoral degree in marriage and family therapy (or in an allied field with graduate level course work in marriage and family therapy) that meets the Board course, clinical internship, and supervision requirements, and is practicing marriage and family therapy under a Board approved supervisory arrangement to complete the minimum two-year postgraduate supervision requirement, as approved by the Board. An individual may remain licensed as an MFT Associate for a maximum of five (5) years.
