1. (1) The Board shall elect from its members a chair and vice chair. Following the Board’s initial meeting in 2024, the election of officers shall be held at the November meeting each year.
2. (2) The vice chair shall fill any vacancy in the office of the president. The chair shall appoint a member to fill a vacancy in the office of vice chair. The chair’s appointment is subject to Board approval.

3. (3) The duties of the officers shall be as follows:

   1. (a) The chair shall preside at meetings of the Board, appoint members to serve on committees as may be created, and serve as ex officio member of all committees.
   2. (b) The vice chair shall preside in the absence of the chair and shall assume the duties of the chair when necessary.

4. (4) The elected officers of the Board comprise the Board’s Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is responsible for:

   1. (a) Approving the Board meeting agenda with the executive officer.
   2. (b) Facilitating evaluation of the Executive Officer.
   3. (c) Assuring Board representation at legislative hearings, meetings, sunset reviews, and requested public presentations.
   4. (d) Participation in orientation of newly appointed Board members.
