Any person affected by a decision of the Bureau granting or denying a heliport operating license, or a mandatory or emergency closure, may request a hearing pursuant to the Code of Alabama 1975, Section 41-22-12, et seq. within 30 days of the Bureau’s decision. The request for a hearing must be made in writing and sent to the Chief of the Aeronautics Bureau at the following address:

The heliport will remain closed during the appeal process if its operating license has been denied, or in the event of a mandatory or emergency closure. The heliport will remain open during the appeal process if the Bureau has granted an operating license.
