1. (1) Extension by the state agency.

   1. (a) The state agency may extend the project review period for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days with or without the consent of the applicant under the following conditions:

      1. 1. to allow time for competing or comparable applications to be heard in the same review cycle;
      2. 2. to allow additional time for review of difficult and complicated projects;
      3. 3. to allow the project to be reviewed at the next meeting of the Certificate of Need Review Board.
   2. (b) The state agency may extend the review period without limitation with the written consent of the applicant.
2. (2) Extension by the applicant. The review period may be extended upon written request of the applicant for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days on a one-time basis.
