- (1) DEPARTMENT. The Department of Homeland Security.
- (2) DIRECTOR. The Director of the Department of Homeland Security.
- (3) HOMELAND SECURITY. The development, coordination and implementation of a state policy to secure the state of Alabama from terrorist threat or attack and natural disaster.
- (4) POLITICAL SUBDIVISION. A county, city, town or fire district of the State of Alabama.
