1. (1) A laboratory shall notify the Department and the water system of any exceedance of a lead/copper action level or total coliform/E Coli positive result within 24 hours of completion of the analysis.

   1. (a) The notification shall be made to the Drinking Water Branch staff by a method approved by the Department.
   2. (b) If the analysis result is determined outside of normal business hours, the laboratory shall use a method approved by the Department to notify the Drinking Water Branch staff as soon as possible the next business day.
