Retirement Of License

- (1) Any licensee who is no longer in active practice may apply to the Board for retirement of his/her license by submitting an affidavit to that effect on a form supplied by the Executive Director.
- (2) A retiree is excused from the continuing education requirement of Rule 190-X-2-.11(2).
- (3) The annual renewal fee for maintenance of a retired license may not be more than one-half that provided for an active license.
- (4) A retired license shall be automatically suspended if not renewed on or about January 1st. Any chiropractor whose license is automatically suspended shall be allowed reinstatement if on or before January 31st the chiropractor submits documentation of compliance for conditions of renewal and submits payment of the applicable reinstatement fee. Any chiropractor who seeks reinstatement due to nonrenewal after January 31st shall comply with the requirements of Code of Ala. 1975, §34-24-176.
