Under the provisions of Code of Ala. 1975, §2-7-24, the following classes of exhibits shall be the only type exhibits entitled to state aid:
(1) Livestock exhibits
- (a) Beef cattle
- (b) Dairy cattle
- (c) Poultry
- (d) Rabbits
- (e) Sheep
- (f) Swine
- (g) Goats
- (h) Horses - Halter and performance classes as recognized by the individual horse associations
- (i) Other Livestock included in farm stock
- (2) Products derived from any of the livestock listed above.
- (3) Field and garden crops
- (4) Horticulture products and exhibits
- (5) Apiary products and exhibits
(6) Home economics displays
- (a) Cooking
- (b) Baking
- (c) Canning
- (d) Sewing and clothing
- (e) Other home economics related activities
- (7) Educational agricultural exhibits
(8) Flower exhibits.
- (a) Horticultural - cut flowers
- (b) Potted plants
- (c) Live arrangements
- (d) Artificial arrangements
(9) Creative and fine arts
- (a) Art exhibits (portraits, sculpture, drawings)
- (b) Craft exhibits (ceramics, pottery, etc.)
- (10) 4-H Club exhibits and displays
- (11) FFA Chapter exhibits and displays
- (12) FHA Chapter exhibits and displays
- (13) Extension homemakers club exhibits and displays
- (14) Other similar youth organizations (boy scouts, girl scouts, etc.)
- (15) Community club exhibits and displays (as defined by the Agricultural Center Board)
(16) Educational organizations
- (a) Schools
- (b) PTA
- (17) Cost of ribbons, trophies and rosettes
- (18) Any class not falling within any of the above classes need prior approval of the Center Board before aid is requested.
