Notwithstanding contrary provisions of AS 08.01.050, the commission may assign or designate assistants to

1. (1) issue licenses to applicants who meet the qualifications for licensure established under this chapter;
2. (2) prepare questions on examinations;
3. (3) administer and grade examinations;
4. (4) certify courses required under this chapter;
5. (5) approve instructors to teach courses required under this chapter; and
6. (6) negotiate terms for payment of fines and other money due under this chapter.
