In AS 44.21.150 — 44.21.170,

1. (1) “automatic data processing” means

   1. (A) those methods of processing data by using electrical accounting machinery (EAM) or electronic data processing equipment (EDP), including the activities and devices required to prepare data for automatic data processing;
   2. (B) data communications devices and those systems used with automatic data processing equipment in the transmission and reception of data; and
   3. (C) activities related to the design and development of automatic data processing systems;
2. (2) “commissioner” means the commissioner of administration;
3. (3) “department” means the Department of Administration.
