The purpose of AS 41.21.500 — 41.21.514 is

1. (1) to designate as a unit of the state park system under this chapter the land and water described in AS 41.21.502(a);
2. (2) to protect and perpetuate the fishery and wildlife resources and habitat in the unit and adjacent area; and
3. (3) to manage recreational uses and development activities in the unit and adjacent area.
