Alaska Stat. § 41.06.005 – Jurisdiction over geothermal resources

(a) The commission has jurisdiction under AS 41.06.005 — 41.06.060 over geothermal wells to prevent waste, to protect correlative rights, and to ensure public safety.
(b) The Department of Natural Resources has jurisdiction under AS 41.06.005 — 41.06.060 over management of geothermal leases and units in the public interest and to effect development.
