1. (a) The director may approve a continuing education program if

   1. (1) the course has been approved by the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Corporations, Business and Professional Licensing under 12 AAC 39.420 before the training date; or
   2. (2) at least 30 days before the training date, the course provider provides a description of the program and the number of hours of instruction to the director, the program must be based on either the currently adopted or newer edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code for plumber journeymen or the National Electrical Code for electrician journeymen and require participants to register.

2. (b) the provider must provide verification of satisfactory completion of the program to each participant in the form of a completion certificate. The completion certificate must include the

   1. (A) name of the sponsoring organization;
   2. (B) location of the workshop or course;
   3. (C) title, course number, and description;
   4. (D) name of the principal instructor;
   5. (E) dates of attendance or period of instruction; and
   6. (F) number of continuing education hours claimed.
