1. (a) To request approval for a program with an accelerated method of delivery, a postsecondary career and technical school must submit, with its application under 8 AAC 81.020, an additional application to the department on a form provided by the department. The department will approve the application if the career and technical school demonstrates that the program meets the minimum clock hours that the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education requires

   1. (1) under 20 AAC 16.220(b)(3) for a full-time student, but meets those hours in a period of less than 12 weeks;
   2. (2) under 20 AAC 16.220(c)(3) for a part-time student, but meets those hours in a period of less than six weeks.
2. (b) The department's initial approval under this section is valid for two school years. To request to renew an approval under this section, the career and technical school must submit, with its application under 8 AAC 81.040, an additional application to the department on a form provided by the department.
