1. (a) An employer may elect to not participate or not continue to participate at any time before the employee completes the plan. The employer shall serve written notice of the employer's election to not participate to the employee, the program coordinator, and the rehabilitation specialist. The employer's written notice must inform the employee, in accordance with AS 23.30.043(n), of the employee's right to pursue reemployment benefits under AS 23.30.041. The employer's responsibility for stay-at-work plan costs continues until one day after the notice is served.
2. (b) The program coordinator shall inform the employee of the employee's rights in accordance with AS 23.30.041.
