In 8 AAC 99.110 - 8 AAC 99.190, unless the context requires otherwise,

1. (1) "applicant" means an individual who has applied to an official testing center to take any portion of the GED tests;
2. (2) "department" means the Department of Labor and Workforce Development;
3. (3) "GED" means General Educational Development;
4. (4) "GED Testing Service" means the joint venture of the American Council on Education and Pearson VUE that conducts the GED test;
5. (5) "official testing center" means an agency that offers GED testing under a current contract with Pearson VUE; the names and addresses of official testing centers may be obtained by writing to the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, P.O. Box 115509, Juneau, Alaska 99811-5509;
6. (6) "proctor" means the person designated as the administrator of an official testing center;
7. (7) "program office" means the department acting in its capacity as the statewide administrator for the GED testing program.
