Alaska Admin. Code tit. 7, § 166.010 – Creation of statewide electronic health information exchange system

(a) A statewide electronic health information exchange (HIE) system is established.
(b) The purpose of the HIE system is to facilitate
1. (1) public and private uses and disclosures of electronic health information permissible under AS 18.23.300 - 18.23.325 and this chapter; and
2. (2) the intrastate and interstate exchange of information for treatment and billing purposes.
