The department will pay for inpatient hospital services only if the

1. (1) recipient is admitted to the hospital by the written order of a physician or other licensed health care professional authorized to admit a patient to a hospital;
2. (2) recipient requires a general acute care hospital level of care or meets the requirements for administrative-wait bed or swing-bed status; and
3. (3) department gives prior authorization for admission as required under 7 AAC 105 - 7 AAC 160.
