The department will pay for therapeutic treatment home services that are provided to an eligible child or adolescent under 7 AAC 139.010(1), who experiences severe mental, emotional, or behavioral health needs that cannot be stabilized in a less intensive home setting. Theraputic treatment home services must
- (1) be provided in a licensed foster home under 7 AAC 50 by at least one licensed foster parent;
- (2) include trauma-informed care by licensed foster parents and other providers listed in the Alaska Behavioral Health Providers Services Standards & Administrative Procedures for Behavioral Health Provider Services, adopted by reference in 7 AAC 160.900, who have received documented training or education in principles of trauma-informed care;
- (3) include the component services for therapeutic treatment homes listed in the Alaska Behavioral Health Providers Services Standards & Administrative Procedures for Behavioral Health Provider Services, adopted by reference in 7 AAC 160.900; and
- (4) be provided under the direction and supervision of a community behavioral health services provider approved under 7 AAC 136.020.
