(a) To be eligible for payment under 7 AAC 105 - 7 AAC 160 for providing registered nurse anesthetist services directly to a recipient, a provider must
- (1) be enrolled as a registered nurse anesthetist under 7 AAC 105.210; and
- (2) except as provided in (b) of this section, hold an active license or certification as a registered nurse anesthetist issued by the jurisdiction in which the individual provides services; if services are provided in this state the individual must hold an active license under AS 08.68 and an active authorization under 12 AAC 44.500 - 12 AAC 44.560.
- (b) The department will pay a registered nurse anesthetist only for services within the scope of practice of a registered nurse anesthetist under AS 08.68 and 12 AAC 44.
