In addition to the base rate under 7 AAC 53.030 and subject to appropriation, if a child in foster care is a parent, and if the parent and the parent's child are placed together in the same foster home, the department will pay the foster parent an augmented rate for the child not in the custody of the department. The augmented rate is equal to the base rate for the age range in which the child of the parent in state custody falls under 7 AAC 53.030(b).
