- (a) A set of rules, along with the potential disciplinary action for violation of those rules, must be adopted for each living unit within a facility. These rules must be in writing, must be given to each resident upon entering the facility, and must be available for inspection by residents at any time. If a resident is unable to understand the written rules, a counselor shall read and explain them. All rules must be approved by the director.
- (b) Conduct of residents may not result in disciplinary action unless it is prohibited by the written rules of the facility or by state statute or local ordinance.
