The department will appoint a committee to annually review the results of the newborn bloodspot screening program, consider addition or deletion of tests based on experience in this state and on newly developed tests recommended by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Advisory Committee on Heritable Disorders in Newborns and Children, and report to the public on these matters.
