(a) The following emergency equipment must be available in the operating rooms:
- (1) an emergency call system;
- (2) equipment for the delivery of oxygen;
- (3) mechanical ventilatory assistance equipment, including airways in a range of sizes, and a manual breathing bag;
- (4) a cardiac defibrillator;
- (5) cardiac monitoring equipment;
- (6) a tracheotomy set;
- (7) laryngoscopes and endotracheal tubes in a range of sizes;
- (8) suction equipment; and
- (9) emergency drugs and supplies determined by the medical staff.
- (b) A registered nurse must be on-site to provide emergency treatment at all times when a patient is present in the facility.
- (c) An ambulatory surgical center shall provide written notice of the center's operation and population served to the nearest general acute care hospitals in the event that transfer of a patient who requires medical or emergency care beyond the scope of the ability or license of the center is needed.
