Within the Department of Health, as a part of the Office of Statistical Services thereof, is established the Bureau of Vital Statistics. The bureau shall be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating the statewide system of vital statistics, as required by the Vital Statistics Act and related laws and regulations.
