The commission's staff will counsel an inquirer to file a complaint if the inquirer relates facts and circumstances which constitute a violation of AS 18.80. If the facts related do not constitute a violation of the human rights law, the staff will accept a complaint only after advising the inquirer that the case will be closed for lack of jurisdiction.
