- (a) Unless otherwise provided in this chapter or by an emergency order issued under AS 16.05.060, the provisions in this section apply to finfish sport fishing in the Northwestern Area.
- (b) In all waters, multiple hooks with a gap between the point and shank greater than one-half inch may be used for taking fish other than salmon.
- (c) A spear or bow and arrow may be used to take suckers and burbot. Unless prohibited in 5 AAC 70.011, northern pike and whitefish, except sheefish, may be speared by a person who is completely submerged at any time, and, from September 1 through April 30, may be taken by spear or bow and arrow.
