1. (a) There are established under the provisions of 5 AAC 40.005 the following Sheldon Jackson Special Harvest Areas:

   1. (1) the Sheldon Jackson Hatchery Special Harvest Area for pink, chum, and king salmon consists of the waters of Crescent Bay and Eastern Anchorage enclosed by a line from the northernmost end of the John O'Connell Bridge at 57° 02.88' N. lat., 135° 20.35' W. long., to the southernmost end of the bridge at 57° 02.86' N. lat., 135° 20.57' W. long., to the northeasternmost tips of Aleutski Island at 57° 02.72' N. lat., 135° 20.36' W. long., Turning Island at 57° 02.61' N. lat., 135° 20.17' W. long., Kutkan Island at 57° 02.41' N. lat., 135° 19.65' W. long., and Morne Island at 57° 02.25' N. lat., 135° 19.30' W. long., to the Twin Islands Light at 57° 02.06' N. lat., 135° 18.80' W. long., to a point on the Baranof Island shore at 57° 02.68' N. lat., 135° 18.90' W. long., and will be open for harvest by the hatchery permit holder from 12:01 a.m. July 20 until 11:59 p.m. September 15;
   2. (2) the Sheldon Jackson Hatchery Special Harvest Area for coho salmon consists of all waters enclosed by a line from the southeast corner of the Crescent Harbor breakwater at 57° 02.95' N. lat., 135° 19.50' W. long. to a point on the beach approximately 150 yards southeast of the hatchery stream outlet at 57° 02.92' N. lat., 135° 19.38' W. long., and will be open for harvest by the hatchery permit holder from 12:01 a.m. August 15 until 11:59 p.m. October 31.
2. (b) A hatchery permit holder harvesting salmon within the special harvest area is exempt from the provisions of 5 AAC 33.310.
3. (c) Notwithstanding 5 AAC 33.330, legal gear types for hatchery permit holders in the special harvest area are purse seine, beach seine, hand purse seine, drift gillnet with six inch or larger mesh, and troll gear.
