Alaska Admin. Code tit. 5, § 35.530 – Tenders for Tanner crab in Area J

(a) Notwithstanding 5 AAC 35.033(a), in the Kodiak, Chignik, and South Peninsula Districts, a vessel registered to fish for Tanner crab may tender Tanner crab from other registered Tanner crab vessels. A tender operator must be an authorized agent of a licensed processor. A tender operator may not use a vessel as a tender under this section until the tender operator registers the vessel as a tender with the department in Kodiak and receives the department's written authorization to use the vessel as a tender. A tender operator shall comply with the reporting requirements as set out under 5 AAC 39.130.
(b) A vessel registered to fish for Tanner crab may not tender that vessel's own catch for the purposes of satisfying delivery requirements of changing inseason section registration as described in 5 AAC 35.506.
