1. (a) Notwithstanding 5 AAC 34.052, and except as described in (b) of this section, during the closed season for king crab in Registration Area O, king crab pots must be removed from the water except, with all doors fully open and with all bait containers removed,

   1. (1) single line king crab pots may be stored in waters 25 fathoms or less in depth; and
   2. (2) longline king crab pots may be stored in waters 75 fathoms or less in depth.

2. (b) King crab pots may not be stored in the following waters:

   1. (1) from June 1 through August 15, the waters east of 169° W. long.;
   2. (2) Hot Springs Bay, inside of a line from the tip of Ridge Point to 54° 12.67' N. lat., 165° 52' W. long.; and
   3. (3) Kalekta Bay, inside of a line from the tip of Erskine Point to the tip of Cape Kalekta.
