- (a) Capelin (Mallotus villosus) may be taken only in the Togiak District described in 5 AAC 06.200(e), and only under the conditions of a permit issued by the commissioner or the commissioner's designee.
- (b) The permit required in (a) of this section shall include reporting requirements and any other conditions determined necessary by the commissioner for conservation and management purposes.
- (c) Capelin may be taken only from April 15 through May 30.
- (d) Capelin may be taken only with purse seines.
- (e) No more than 200 tons of capelin may be taken annually.
