1. (a) Each electric utility subject to the regulatory jurisdiction of the commission must comply with the provisions of 3 AAC 52.501 - 3 AAC 52.504 and 3 AAC 52.507 - 3 AAC 52.519.
2. (b) Each gas utility subject to the regulatory jurisdiction of the commission must comply with the provisions of 3 AAC 52.501 - 3 AAC 52.502 and 3 AAC 52.505 - 3 AAC 52.519.
3. (c) Unless otherwise required under AS 42.05, a requirement in 3 AAC 52.501 - 3 AAC 52.519 may be modified or waived, in whole or in part, by order of the commission, on the commission's own motion or on a showing that the waiver or modification is in the public interest. A utility shall file and the commission will consider an application for waiver in accordance with 3 AAC 48.805.
