1. (a) Upon notification of a potential violation of a reliability standard or on its own motion, the commission may direct the electric reliability organization to investigate the potential violation in accordance with the electric reliability organization's tariff.
2. (b) The commission may, on its own motion, open an investigation into a potential violation of a reliability standard.
3. (c) For a commission-imposed penalty, the penalty shall be levied consistent with the electric reliability organization's tariff or AS 42.05.571.
