1. (a) A contact class course or self-study course will be accepted for continuing education credit if the course

   1. (1) meets the requirements of 3 AAC 23.188; and

   2. (2) is in the general subject area of

      1. (A) insurance technical or product information;
      2. (B) risk management;
      3. (C) insurance law and regulation;
      4. (D) mathematics, statistics, and probability;
      5. (E) economics;
      6. (F) business law;
      7. (G) finance;
      8. (H) taxation directly related to insurance products;
      9. (I) business insurance ethics;
      10. (J) licensee professional liability;
      11. (K) management, marketing, and sales training; or
      12. (L) securities specific to insurance products.
2. (b) The director will not approve more than eight credit hours in the general subject area of management, marketing, and sales training during the two-year license period.
