(a) To be eligible for a grant, proposed projects must fall within one of the following categories:
(1) ice-making and storage infrastructure projects providing service to the coastal area of
- (A) Baranof Island;
- (B) Wrangell Island; or
- (C) Prince of Wales Island;
- (2) boat haulout equipment in the Southeast region north of Cape Spencer and east of Cape Suckling;
- (3) infrastructure to support the commercial troll salmon fishery;
(4) infrastructure projects that will provide a lasting benefit to the sport chinook salmon fishery under one or more of the following criteria:
- (A) fish cleaning float improvements;
- (B) fish waste disposal;
- (C) improved access to ice;
- (b) An eligible entity may apply for a minimum of $15,000 in grant money.
(c) An eligible entity may apply for a maximum of
- (1) $240,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(A) of this section;
- (2) $200,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(B) of this section;
- (3) $120,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(1)(C) of this section;
- (4) $50,000 in grant money, for a project in a category set out in (a)(2) or (3) of this section;
- (5) $250,000 in grant money, for a project in a category set out in (a)(4)(A) or (B) of this section;
- (6) $75,000 in grant money, for a project in the category set out in (a)(4)(C) of this section.
