People with mental illness

(a) Subject to (b) of this section, people with mental illness are persons who can be diagnosed using the DSM-5 with a disorder comparable to those listed in AS 44.25.290(d)(1) - (8) or with an equivalent disorder using the ICD-10-CM.
(b) In addition to persons described in (a) of this section, people with mental illness include persons with conditions that support a DSM-5 diagnosis of "other conditions that may be a focus of clinical attention" or a comparable ICD-10-CM diagnosis, even though the condition is not due to a mental disorder described in AS 44.25.290(d)(1) - (8), AS 44.25.290(d)(10), or (a) of this section.
