1. (a) A student requesting an Alaska education grant must submit a completed FAFSA to the United States Department of Education that results in a valid Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR).
2. (b) Repealed 12/28/2008.
3. (c) An applicant may be required to submit supplemental information for the purpose of determining the applicant's eligibility for a grant award.

4. (d) In addition to certification of an applicant's eligibility under 20 AAC 16.010, school staff shall certify award eligibility requirements, including that the student

   1. (1) is admitted and enrolled in an undergraduate degree or vocational certificate program on at least a half-time basis;
   2. (2) has a high school diploma or general educational development (GED) diploma;
   3. (3) has unmet financial need; and
   4. (4) repealed 2/22/2015;
   5. (5) meets requirements set out in 20 AAC 16.034 for an increased grant award.
5. (e) The commission staff shall notify each institution of the names of students at that institution who are eligible to receive an Alaska education grant as determined under this section.
6. (f) The commission will publish an annual grant processing calendar.
