The Alaska education grant program provides higher education grants to residents of this state attending institutions eligible under 20 AAC 16.021 and who demonstrate financial need based on information obtained from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This grant award is available to an eligible student to pay allowable costs of attendance that exceed the sum of any other non-self-help financial aid provided to the student.
