1. (a) Except as provided in (b) of this section, long-term care insurance coverage for a benefit recipient begins on the date that continuing monthly benefits begin.
2. (b) Long-term care insurance coverage for a benefit recipient receiving a disability benefit is effective on the first day of the calendar month after the month in which the premium is first deducted.
3. (c) Retroactive premiums will be deducted as necessary.
