Except as may be expressly authorized by AS 39.35.680(9) and AS 39.35.990(7), "remuneration"

1. (1) means only the salary paid to an employee for standard services rendered;
2. (2) does not include bonuses paid for retirement incentives, or additional pay outside the standard salary schedule for an employee who agrees to retire if the additional pay is granted within 18 months before the employee's appointment to retirement.
