In 18 AAC 80.1200 - 18 AAC 80.1290, unless the context requires otherwise,

1. (1) "department's reasonable costs" means the following costs that can reasonably be attributed to the violation:

   1. (A) the number of hours, multiplied by $64, that department employees worked in the detection, investigation, and attempted correction of the violation;
   2. (B) administrative costs;
   3. (C) travel costs;
   4. (D) the cost of collecting, transporting, and analyzing samples paid for or performed by the department;
   5. (E) the cost of contracted services related to the detection, investigation, and attempted correction of the violation;
2. (2) "economic savings" means the sum that an entity would have been required to expend for the planning, acquisition, construction, installation, and operation of a facility necessary to ensure compliance with the standard violated;
3. (3) "entity" has the meaning given in AS 46.03.761(1);
4. (4) "immediate threat to the public health" has the meaning given the term "acute risk" in 18 AAC 80.1990(a);

5. (5) "number of days of violation" means the number of days between the entity's receipt of the notice of violation under 18 AAC 80.1210 and the date

   1. (A) of correction of the violation; or
   2. (B) on which the department issues a notice of preliminary determination under 18 AAC 80.1230, if the violation has not yet been corrected.
