For systems that were constructed, installed, or modified without written approval by the department as required under 18 AAC 72.200 or did not receive final approval to operate under 18 AAC 72.240, a person may request operational approval of a wastewater collection, treatment, storage, or disposal system by submitting to the department engineering plans and reports that evaluate, document, and demonstrate that the wastewater collection, treatment, storage, or disposal system was constructed, installed, or modified in accordance with this chapter and AS 46.03, and operates in accordance with this chapter and AS 46.03. With that submittal the person shall submit the plan review fee required under 18 AAC 72.955, unless the fee is calculated under 18 AAC 72.959.
